A banana republic, folk wedding, and Easter eggs

This has been a really eventful week for us.  We visited museums,  searched for the best places to eat,  saw a play,  listened to folk music live, and even saw a military band perform.

We are currently in Transnistria, which is a country that isn't recognized as an independent state by anyone except Russia and other "countries" like itself.  You can read more about it HERE or if you would like you can also read THIS.  I am looking forward to all of USSR slogans and Lenin statues which await us in Tiraspol.

City life was different. This is an opera program with a monocle (is that what that's called?) and a fan.  The National History Museum used to be an estate before the Soviets came over.  The ball rooms are used as exhibition rooms and still have the original plaster work, which is exquisite.

Here's the museum addresses in case you are a web surfer looking for awesome things to do in Moldova. Fares are excitingly low, and don't be surprised if an elderly lady turns the lights on and off as you go through each room.
