Because I am incapable of keeping things simple; for my first photo-shoot ever I chose not one but three people... However, I think we spent more time laughing than actually taking pictures.

Missing summer and of course more chairs
Hello Friends,
Its been a while, I know. Here are some pictures I fell in love with while browsing around. Promise to do my best and return to regular programming soon.

More chairs. Of course. I saw a pair of these in a furniture store display on 23rd Ave in Portland a couple of years ago and fell in love with them. So imagine my surprise when I stumbled on this photo here! Sadly, I have no idea who the designer is.
This photo makes me remember all the things I love about summer. Just looking at it helps me remember the warmth of summer. Oh how I miss that sunshine. Especially when stuck in traffic at 7am in the dark, with rain pounding on to the windshield.
An awesome plate of bicycles from a Russian book. From Vintage Printable. Love the site, but it is impossible to navigate for some reason.

R&B: White
| The first of all single colors is white ... We shall set down white for
the representative of light, without which no color can be seen; yellow
for the earth; green for water; blue for air; red for fire; and black
for total darkness." -- Leonardo Da Vinci |

Elizabeth aka "The Virgin Queen" was one of the first to figure out the power of PR. She made sure that she was portrayed wearing white to keep up her image.

Happy New Year!
Hello there friends, all 2 of you! I am having trouble picking topics for my new blog. There are so many different ideas, that I want to write about all of them at once. In the meantime, let me just say that one (yes, there is a list) of my New Year resolutions is to make more and start sharing art. How about you?
Here are a couple of photos that make me want to go back in time. I love the silhouettes, the simplicity, and most of all the femininity. There is something so distantly familiar and eminent about vintage fashion photos. All of these came from the LIFE Google Archives.

| By Martha Holmes. The shape of this suit is amazing. It would have cost you $20.00 in 1948. (The beret/pearls combo makes me giggle). |

| By Gordon Parks. Just a beautiful photograph that captures the elegance of the model and a fleeting moment in time. |
