Airplane mode
It seems as though I am getting a little antsy lately. Seriously craving some international sights...
Travelling is exhilarating, but it can be stressful and tiring. There are nuances that I thought might be useful to some of you out there looking for ideas. Please watch out for a couple of additional posts on travel in the near future. This one specifically focused on what to wear when flying. I firmly believe that one can be comfortable and elegant at the same time. What are your flying secrets? Let me know, and I might include them in the next post.
Here are some basics:
-Shoes should be slip-ons, you don't want to be the one holding up the airport security line. Also, airports are not a good place to break in that new pair of cute flats. You want to be sure that you are comfortable.
-Avoid expensive or bulky jewelry.
-Don't wear a belt unless you have to, or are used to wearing one at all times.
-PLEASE don't wear sweat pants and Uggs (A.K.A Ugglies)
-Layers work really well because of the difference in climates you might encounter, or if that cranky man next to you adjusts his fan to blow on your face and falls asleep.
-Bring a scarf, you wont regret it.

Moon Boots vs Rompers
Let me start with saying that I am writing about this solely out necessity. Some of the ladies I have seen lately leave me with no other option, but to rant on my blog warn others of things to avoid. These fads are nothing more than a way for the retailers to make money and something for you to regret 10 years from now.
Something needs to be said about these shoes. I saw them a few days ago while doing some Holiday shopping. Not only are they much uglier than Uggs they are also extremely overpriced. Completely impractical as they cannot be worn in the snow or rain. Please avoid unless you are planning a trip to space.

2. Cracked nail polish $25.00
Nails are suppost to be neat and pretty, not resemble the mistake I made in an art class when I mixed oil paints with acrylic. Although I think that if you are going for an evil witch look this would be completely appropriate.
4. Fuzzy boots worn on bare skin
This one has been around for a few years now, and I keep waiting for it to go away. It annoyingly sticks around, along with Justin Bieber and horrendous reality TV. First of all, if its cold enough to wear boots, you should probably put something on underneath them instead of creating a slow cooker environment for your feet.

3. Rompers
This 90s comeback should have remained in that decade forever. Simply not flattering for anyone over the age of 12. This one has been around for a few years now, and I keep waiting for it to go away. Missing summer and of course more chairs
Hello Friends,
Its been a while, I know. Here are some pictures I fell in love with while browsing around. Promise to do my best and return to regular programming soon.

More chairs. Of course. I saw a pair of these in a furniture store display on 23rd Ave in Portland a couple of years ago and fell in love with them. So imagine my surprise when I stumbled on this photo here! Sadly, I have no idea who the designer is.
This photo makes me remember all the things I love about summer. Just looking at it helps me remember the warmth of summer. Oh how I miss that sunshine. Especially when stuck in traffic at 7am in the dark, with rain pounding on to the windshield.
An awesome plate of bicycles from a Russian book. From Vintage Printable. Love the site, but it is impossible to navigate for some reason.

Egg hats, a dish towel and earrings. What's not to love?
You guys are well aware of my love affair with Etsy. Here are a few really cool items I found lately.
These studs make me want to go run in the forest and pick wildflowers all day.
Mr. Darcy's proposal speech on a tea towel. Doing dishes just got way more romantic.
This dress is incredible. I love the combination of asymmetrical design and yet an attractive piece of clothing. Ugh! I am drooling.
These are soo cute! I almost cried. But they are completely useless. Egg hats anyone?
